Some Facts About Food

1. Always eat the minute you wake up. Never start the day with tea or coffee. Eat real food within 10 to 15 minutes of waking up. The stimulants provided through tea or coffee increase blood sugar levels but provide zero nutrition to the cells that have been starving for the last 9 to 10 hrs. Going hungry in the morning is a disaster for anybody. Those who are not eating anything in the morning are victims of slow metabolic rate. With sunrise, the metabolism peaks and cells demand nutrition. This is the time to eat, and to eat big. Once your cells receive nutrition through food the blood sugar comes to an optimum level, then feel free to have your tea or coffee. So the foundation to a great body is laid by what you eat and drink within 10 to 15 minutes of waking up.

Eating first thing in the morning will lead to:

  • Increase in blood sugar and energy levels.
  • Increase in metabolic rate and fat burning.
  • Decrease in acidity and bloating.
  • Decrease in acidity and bloating.
  • Reduce changes of over eating later in the day.


2. Eat every two hours.

Eat three main meals and in between meals eat only one thing at a time, ex. Peanuts, a piece of cheese, nuts, milk, yoghurt, shakes, fruit etc. So in short, eating every 2 to 3 hrs will lead to:

  • Fewer calories converted to fat.
  • Smarter thinking, because the brain gets a regular flow of sugar.
  • Flatter stomach, no need to hold on to fat stores.

3. Eat more when you are more active and less when you are less active .i.e. eating should be directly proportional to your activity levels.

  •  Eating more food when yu are more active will make your body an efficient calorie burner.
  •  Which will increase the metabolic rate of your body.
  •  Which will help you stay energetic throughout the day.
  • And will help you lose fat more effectively.

4. Finish your last meal at least 2 hours prior to sleeping.

Once you follow this principle you will wake up without the need of an alarm, and your stomach will give you the signal to download and you will walk out of your bathroom feeling light, hungry and happy (not heavy, gassy and irritated).

To eat 2 hrs before bedtime will lead to :

  • Most of your food being digested before you go to bed.
  • Which will lead to sound sleep.
  • Which will leave your body free, to do its repair work.
  • Which will make your body more effective in burning fat
